not really. kris and sarah can attest that i found $50 at taste of minnesota. it was a godsend, but something was needling at me and instead of moving on, i stayed rooted to the ground. and then there was a man who came by, counting his money, checking his pockets, and desperately looking around on the ground and i knew i couldn't keep it. it wasn't mine. it was almost like a weight i couldn't get rid of fast enough. almost as if, should i hold it any longer, it would hurt more to have it gone. so back to its rightful place. easy come, easy go.

there is a little part of me that's kind of sad that i didn't just pocket it and keep on walking.

but there's a larger part of me that believes in things i'm not meant to understand. a part that would like to learn to be happy and good rather than materialistic. and i need the karma more than i need the money. i'll take that chance.

after all. i was out with two of my favorite people. i finally got to see elvis costello. and the fireworks were marvelous. that's good enough for one day. *^_^*
